Is summer really over???

I know I have not blogged for over a month so I figured I better post something so you know we are still alive
We had a great time this summer but is it really over??? I am so sad for it to be over, it went by so fast but we did have alot of fun.
Steve had a pretty good schedule for this summer so we were able to hang out at least on Saturdays and do fun stuff.
The highlights of this summer were Steve's Birthday (he turned 34!) and My birthday in August ( i turned 33 UGGG!).
We only attended on symphony concert at Deer Valley this year. It was so fun they did the music of ABBA! To be honest (and July will agree) the symphony did not have to do much but what they did a great job!
We had the wonderful Willis reunion in July at Park City. We had a great time. It was only my second reunion but I felt like part of the family and everyone is so great and I always love a reason to stay up in Park City for a few days. It was so great to see everyone and I cant believe all of the little kids!
For my birthday we traveled to Vancouver, Canada for 6 days and had a GREAT time. I am already wanting to go back up! Vancouver is such a great city. For the most part it is clean, the people are amazing (unlike Paris) the weather was perfect (sunny and in the mid 70's) the city has so many neat "sub cities". We got to fly in a sea plane over to Victoria! The landing was the softest landing ever and the take off was not so bad either. We did a Zodiac boat ride that was so amazing we saw so much wildlife and the people that run that company are the nicest people. Can you tell I loved my vacation? We are so lucky we get to travel like we do!
Now it is September ... so far work has been pretty slow. Steve's schedule for September is not the greatest. He has to work the WHOLE Labor day weekend so I am thinking of taking my own trip to Portland for the weekend.
We celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary on September 22nd. I am really thinking of wanting to do something fun but I dont know what to do. If you have any ideas let me know. I was thinking maybe going to St George for the weekend and going to a Tuacan show but I dont know if Steve is too excited for that. He is off all of that week but I can probably only take a day off.
Anyways, that is what we have been up to lately. I promise this weekend I will post pics from our vacation (as long as I dont got to Portland)

4th of July Weekend!!!

We had so much fun over the 4th of July weekend.
To start off on Friday morning Steve pulled wall paper down in our bathroom.
There were three layers of wallpaper! Amazing! The people who owned our condo before us (they were the original owners) LOVED wallpaper! Its everywhere, mostly painted over! Its a wonderful thing!
After pulling down wallpaper we went to Riverton for thier parade! It really is a great parade. We have a family friend that is on the parade route so we go down there and hang out. Since my brother and his new wife were on thier honeymoon I decided to kidnap Peyton from my mom and took him with us. My dad and Lisa were also there. We had a great time, it was Peytons first parade so he had fun dancing to the marching bands.
We lit fireworks after the parade at my dads.
On Saturday after a late start we went to Sandy to see what they had. We made it just in time for the parade and it was fun too! After the parade we went to dinner then headed out to Riverton for thier fireworks. We were so late and Lisa and I lost my dad and Steve for a little bit even though they did know yet that they were lost. We thought we were going to get horrible seats because it was so late but at the last second we got front row seats! It was the best! Hope you all had a great holiday. Thank goodness I had Sunday to relax before having to go back to work, poor Steve had to go back to work Sunday and he was dragging!

My Brothers Wedding - June 28, 2009

My Brother and Mercedes were married Sunday June 28th at Heritage Gardens in Sandy, UT. It was a wonderful ceremony (it was better then ours) and a fun reception. We had a great time and I am so happy to have Mercedes be apart of the family (she always has been) but now it is official! Congratulations you guys! I love you lots!

The weekend before Valenties Day we traveled to San Francisco. We flew out Friday afternoon and got back Sunday evening. We had a great time and it was fun to just get away for the weekend. We ate at all the places Mandy had on her list and Saturday was the Chinese New Year so we went to Chinatown to celebrate and had Chinese food. We rode the cable cars downtown then rode them back. That is always a fun thing to do when you are there/ Here are some pics from that weekend!

I know ... I know ... It's almost been a month since my last post. The reason being there is nothing going on exiting right now. January has been cold and yucky here. Steve has been busy working. His schedule for January had him work EVERY weekend so it seems like we have hardly seen each other or spent any time together. I have been working. With interest rates being so low I thought I would be busy but things have still been a little quiet. I think in February things will start to pick up. I have had a rough month at work. There have been a few things going on that makes me wonder if this is REALLY what I want to do.
Other than that nothing else has happened. Oh ... I forgot, we got a flat screen TV for our room downstairs. It's 47 inches! We love it and it makes watching TV and especially playing the Wii a whole lot more fun.
I will try to be better with posting and try to come up with more exciting things!

Christmas

As always our Christmas Day was VERY busy. We first went to my moms for breakfast. It was so fun to see Peyton on his first Christmas. My wonderful brother and soon to be sister bought Steve and I Guitar Hero World Tour for our Wii! We have been playing it everyday. I also got my own pink Guitar from Peyton to thank me for babysitting him. He is such a wonderful Nephew
After that we went to my Grandpa Talbot's house in Magna and visited for a little bit. We usually have dinner there but my parents got snowed in on the other end of the valley so we postponed dinner until Saturday. After that we visted my Grandman and Grandpa Vogel. On our way home is started snowing so bad. The next morning when we woke up we had at least 9 inches of snow at our house. It was crazy how much snow we have got!

This Christmas Eve we were lucky enough to spend the evening with Steve's family.
His Cousin Emily made a wonderful Romanian dinner (she just got back from a mission to Romania) and it was so great to see that side of the family. It's so amazing to see all the cousins Steve has and all of his cousins kids are so cute. It was a house full but sure alot of fun.

We put our Christmas tree up on Friday night. Its always such a chore to get it up but once it is up I love it. I love coming home at night and turning on the lights.

A NEW CAR!!!

A few weekends ago we went to the Subaru dealership to get touch up paint for our white Subaru. The parts department was not open but while we were there we thought we would just look at new Subarus. We were at one dealership and saw one we liked but it was beat up pretty bad in the inside so we left and were driving home and was passing another dealership (Mark Miller) and thought we would just drive in and see what they had. We walked thru the rows and rows of cars and then there it was .....

The Subaru of my dreams! It was red, HEATED Leather seats, Sunroof (actully a HUGE sunroof) and a much bigger engine (it has a sport shift mode - it is so fast!! )everything I wanted and more! So .... we dealed with the sales man and within a few minutes we thought it might be time to trade the Accord in because it had some issues that needed to be fixed and it did have ALOT of miles so with sadness in our hearts we traded in the Accord but for the Subaru I have always wanted!!!
So this is my baby for now and I cant stop driving it!

This year we spent Thanksgiving with my family so we could spent Christmas Eve with Steve's family. We had dinner at my parents house which was fun and it was our first Thanksgiving with my nephew Peyton.

I know this is two months old but on the day of our anniversary we were in Lake Tahoe and we left our camera in the hotel! So my parents took pictures for us but... we did not get them until we went to thier house for Thanksgiving.

So some people call me AMANDA and some people call me MANDY.
I thought I would give the short version of why that is.

I was born with the name AMANDA. That is the name that everyone in school called me.
From Kindergarten to High School I went by AMANDA.
The only people that called me MANDY was my family.. my mom, dad, brother, aunt Sharon and grandma and grandpa Talbot. The only thing was if they spelled it they would spell it MANDIE, and they still do.
So, during High School I started working at the Reams Grocery Store that my dad worked at. Since they knew my dad and my dad always talked about me (why wouldnt he I was his only daughter) the knew me as MANDIE , except they spelled it MANDY. So when I started working there they called me MANDY and my name on the schedule was always MANDY. So when I started making friends there they all called me MANDY. After High School I lost the name AMANDA because at that time I was hanging out with all the people that knew me as MANDY. When I got my job at Title West it was because of a family friend at that time and of course she knew me as MANDY also. So Title West called me MANDY. I tried to change it to AMANDA one time but then an AMANDA started working in our office so I had to stay with MANDY to not confuse anyone. Funny thing was she was always known as Mandy except at work. When I meet Steve his sister knew me as MANDY because I worked with her so Steve called me MANDY. Now Steve's whole family knows me as MANDY. When he would introduced me he would say my name was MANDY, unless I introduced myself then I would say AMANDA because AMANDA is really my name and when you are meeting someone for the first time its easier to hear than MANDY because then they always think you said Sandy? Randy? Brandy? Candy? No .... MANDY!
If I had a choice I would definatly go by AMANDA. It sounds more grown up but what do I do now? I even tried to go back to AMANDA when I got married and changed my last name but then no one know me they thought I was a whole different person!
So there you go ... Thats how I am a MANDY and not an AMANDA!!

Sunday at the Zoo

Sunday was such an nice fall day. The sky was blue. The temperature was perfect.
So, My brother, Mercedes, Peyton, Mom, Steve and I made a trip to the Hogle Zoo.
We had so much fun - It was fun to watch Peytons reactions to some of the animals. He may only be 9 months but I think he understood a little.

This is my brother, Stewart and my soon to be sister, Mercedes. This was Christmas Eve 2005 at my dad and stepmoms house. Every year for Christmas Eve my Stepmom cooks a wonderful Prime Rib and all the fixings and we have dinner. Yosmite National Park

I know! I am way behind! We have been back from vacation for two weeks and I have not posted yet.

Our trip was amazing! Yosimite is a must see sometime in your life. It was so neat to see the rock formations that you always see in pictures. I am a huge fan of Ansel Adams and to see his the things he took pics of was so neat.

Steve and I flew into Reno on Thursday the 18th at 330 and drove to Sacramento because that was the only flight we could get on. Sacramento is a neat city. We drove around that evening until my parents flew in then the next morning we explored Old Sacramento before we left.

We spent two days in the park then drove to Lake Tahoe and spent two nights there.
For our anniversary we took a cruse across the lake.

After being in Tahoe for two days we drove to Reno to spent the night before we flew out the next day. On our way there we stopped in the cutest little town called Virginia City. Its and old west town and they have a street of cute stores and Saloons. They have everything from candy stores, ice cream store, jewlery, christmas store. We got fudge, carmel apple it was so fun.

We had a great trip. I want to do it again sometime soon. It was fun to see different places you would not have thought was fun to see.

We are going on Vacation!!!

Tommorow we leave for a 6 day vacation to Yosimite National Park/ Lake Tahoe/ and Reno.
We are so excited. Now if we can just get on a plane and get there! We leave tommorow at 3. I will be sure to post pics as soon as we get back. It is going to be amazing! We even bought a new camera!

PS Its our anniversary on Monday so thats why we are going - to celebrate four fabulous years. Maybe next year will be Hawaii!

On Sunday I was baby sitting Peyton while my brother and Mercedes were working so my Dad and Lisa called and wanted to know if we wanted to go the fair. I am not a huge fan of the fair, it expensive, dirty and Sunday was suppose to be hot but I thought that Peyton needed a fair experince so we went. Of course we did not get any pics of us but plenty of the little man. He loved the goats, I think because they were eye level with him. They loved to lick his little toes and he would just laugh and think it was so funny.

Park City for the weekend

This weekend we went to Park City to celebrate my birthday and to hang out with Steve's family. We stayed in a condo up there Friday and Saturday and had alot of fun. BUT ... we forgot our camera so we have no pics. Anyways, we had a fun time shopping at the outlet stores, seeing the family (its sad we have to go to park city to see everyone even though we all live within 5 miles of each other), and celebrating Janelle's (Steve's sister) birthday.
Since Steve was not home for my actual birthday (the 21st) Steve took me to my favorite mexican resaurant Baja Cantina on Saturday night in Park City to celebrate my birthday. YUMMY.Its always nice to get away for the weekend even if it is 30 minutes from home.
Anyways, another work week is here but I am looking forward to a three day weekend and a big miracle happened and Steve is off all weekend! YEAH!

It was a blind date set up by his sister Christine. I worked with Christine. She worked for a mortgage company and I worked for a title company and we were on the phone all the time. One day she called and asked if I was single and I said I was and she said she had a brother she wanted to set me up with. This was on a Monday and we set the date for Friday after he got off work. It was a double date with her and Griff. ALL week I was so nervous. My stomach was doing summersaults. I could not think. I was a basketcase at work. Then Friday night came and he rang my doorbell and as soon as I opened up the door as had a feeling this is who I was going to marry. We went to Macaroni Grill for dinner then after decided we wanted to watch a movie so Griff and Christine went home and we went back to my house. We watched Vanilla Sky and I fell asleep. Steve left around 2am. After that day all I could think of was him. And as you know .... The rest is history. I cant imagine life without him.

I will be 32 this week! WOW!

On thursday I will turn 32. I dont fell like I am 32. I think back when I was in my twenties and I knew people that were in thier thirties I thought they were so old.
Now I am one of them and I AM NOT THAT OLD.
Thirty is really not that old and niether is 32 or 35!.
There is a girl in my office who said the other day that she HAS to have her kids before she reaches thirty because after that there are all sorts of problems you can have. I just looked at her and gave her a dirty look. I am glad I have waited until I am older to have kids and I am still waiting and I dont think there is anything wrong with it.
So I apologize to all the people I looked at when I was in my twenties and they were in thier thirties and I thought they were old.
But man - I really cant believe I am 32! WOW!
We will see how Thursday goes!

A month off and now I am back to work

I just got back to work on Monday. Four weeks just flew by. I got nothing done while I was off. I took a couple of trips with Steve while he was working.

The first week I was off we traveled up to Portland to see my aunt the went to Port Angeles, WA to Olympic National Park then to Victoria Canada then to Seattle then back down to Portland. We were away for 8 days and it was a blast being with my parents and aunt and uncle.

The second week I was off I stayed home for most of it because Daisy was so sick and we also went to Lagoon for Utah State Alumni day. The tickets were discounted and we also went with Griff and Christine and the kids. Funny thing while we were up there .. we ran into the Farnsworths (steves aunt, uncle and cousins) the Maybey's were in town and it was so nice to see them!
The third week I went to Bear Lake with my mom to visit her sister for two days. It was nice to be up there by the lake and to be with mom.
When I got back from Bear Lake I traveled to Cody, WY and that was fun. The crew was really fun and that night we went to a Rodeo and had a blast.In Cody the hotel was nice and had a mini van for the crew to take and go into town and see the sights.
When we got back from that trip we realized Daisy was just not getting better so that Friday we took her to the vet to release her from her pain. The rest of that weekend was hard.
Saturday we went to the Deer Valley Symphony concert for Beatle Mainia (pics below.
The next week I wanted to go to Medford, OR with Steve for his birthday but the flight was FULL so, I went the next day with him to Yakima, WA. Not too exciting and the crew was OK but it was fun to go somewhere and see a place I have not been. Why not? The airfare was free and since Steve was working so was the hotel.
And finally on the Saturday before I went back we went to Deer Valley again to see the symphony preform Broadway songs. It was go good! Once again - Thanks mom for the tickets! On our way home the canyon was closed down to one lane because of construction so it took us 2 1/2 hours to get home. We got home at 12:30 and Steve had to be up at 4:30 to go to work. Needless to say Sunday was a hard work day for him.
So thats what I did while I was off. Now you can see why it has taken me until now to update you on everything. I was so busy - I was not home on day and I got nothing on my list done. Now I want another month off! One of these days! Oh yeah and one of these days pigs might fly!

Beatle Mania at Deer Valley

Steve's mom was playing in the symphony at Deer Valley this weekend. They played songs from the Beatles. Steve and I and my brother Stu and his Fiance Mercedes joined us. It rained - not just a little it DUMPED rain, but we still had alot of fun and about 15 minutes before it was over it cleared up!

We lost our baby girl last night. She has been fighting kidney failure for two months and after trying and trying we had to let her go. She is better off now but there is a void in our family today. Littlefoot keeps looking for her and last night I missed her sleeping on my pillow with me.

We love her so much and know one day we will see her again.

For those of you who care about our cat - Daisy is doing better (knock on wood) she is eating again and gaining weight. Steve took her to the vet on Monday and her levels are getting better - I take her to the Dr tommorow for another test and hopefully it is good.

Now for other news - I have decided to take of leave of absence from work. Dont worry nothing is wrong! I am only taking a month off - basically the month of July for a little time away from things. I love my job. I love the people I work with I am just a little burnt out and I need some time to regroup, everyone deserves that every once in a while right? I have been working full time at the same job since I was 18, 13 years ago. So as of July 3rd I am off work until August 4th!

We are going to Portland from the 4th to the 12th and taking a little trip up to Seattle and Canada. When I get back I hope to take my mom to bear lake for a few days to see her sister. I am also thinking of taking a few trips with Steve during the month.

Steve is working and liking his job. He had a bad schedule for June but July is better - he was able to get the whole week for Portland off.
Anyways that is what is up with us.

I have a whole list of things to do when I get back from Portland. Trust me I will be busy up until the day I go back to work.

So our little daughter Daisy is very sick. The Dr says she has Kidney Failure. She is staying at the animal hospital for three days to see if he can do a few things and help her out. I just pray that she will get better. She is only three! She is too young to have problems like this! Wish us luck and I will keep you posted on the progress. She has only been gone a few hours and I already miss her!

Great Basin National Park

A few weeks ago we took a weekend trip to Great Basin National Park. We drove to Ely Friday then on Saturday we drove out to Lehman Cave and that was amazing. We had both been there before but back when we were very young. We then drove back to Ely and stayed Saturday then came home on Sunday. It was ALOT of driving and I dont think I will be going back to Ely in the near future but it was nice to get away and do something fun. Here are a few pics from the trip

6. My dream was to be a cheerleader or on the drill team.

7. I did not come close to doing either of them.

8. I tried out for Spirit Club and I was one of five out of 40 that did not make the team. I sucked!

9. When I turned eight my Aunt took me to Hawaii in celebration of my baptism.

10. I think my Aunt also wanted to get me away because at the time my parents were going through a divorce and I had a very hard time.

11. After that trip to Hawaii my Aunt took me there four more time.

12. We went to Hawaii on our honeymoon.

San Diego

Well once again, Steve was home for a weekend and a few extra days so heaven forbid we stay home...
We went to San Diego and had a very relaxing time away from home.
We did not do very much.
We had to force ourselves out of the hotel room because we had such a great view and a very nice room with a kitchen.

We did finally make it to the zoo to see the baby panda and the other animals

I got to feed the dophins again!

Then at the end of a long day at Sea World we watched the sun set and of course I got a sunburn so yes my chest was that red and it hurt BAD!!

- In and Out Burger ( I think we ate there 4 time)
- Cheesecake Factory (yes we have one here now but it is not the same and I am choosing to ignore that we have one here)

Easter

Not many people know but Easter is one of my favorite holidays. It means either Spring is on it's way or that Spring is here. It is also just a fun day to spent with family but not the stress of having to give out presents. I do love Easter baskets and I love all the little things you get in them.
This year was a great family day. We did brunch at our house with my family they after everyone left we had a few hours to spend together then we went to Steves parents house for a wonderful dinner. I have to say it was a great easter. Below are a few pics and pics of cute baby Peyton the new addition to our family and pics of Sarah the new addition to Steve's family. Easter Cookies instead of Easter Eggs!

After you dye a dozen eggs what do you do with them after Easter? Well you can make deviled eggs but who is going to eat all of them? So we decided instead of doing Easter eggs we did Easter cookies. Of course we are not going to hide them like you would eggs but since there is only two of us hiding and finding is not really too fun. Last weekend we made wonderful sugar cookies. I got the recipe a few years ago from a friend of mine after I tried hers and they are amazing! They are made with sour cream so they are nice and soft and the frosting is so good too! Anyways here are a few pics of our cookies and I am also going to include the recipe for those who would like it. If you do decide to make them be warned they make about four dozen (depending on the cookie size) so you better have plenty of people to give them to!

SOUR CREAM SUGAR COOKIES

1 ½ CUP SUGAR
1 CUP COLD BUTTER OR MARGARINE
1 CUP SOUR CREAM
1 EGG
1 TSP BAKING SODA
2 TSP VANILLA
½ TSP SALT
4 1/2 CUP FLOUR

Cream sugar, butter, sour cream, vanilla and egg.
Add already mixed soda, salt, and flour into the creamed mixture.

Roll out to ¼ inch thick.
Bake at 425 degrees 8 – 9 minutes, cookies should just start to brown on bottom.

CREAM CHEESE FROSTING

2 – 8 OZ CREAM CHEESE
½ - ¾ CUP BUTTER OR MARGARINE
1 TSP VANILLA
POWDERED SUGAR TO DESIRED CONSITENCY (2 PACKAGES AT LEAST)

Multnomah Falls, Portland and Shopping!!!

So I had a great time in Portland. I got in around noon on Sunday and shopped around by myself. Later that evening I went to my Aunts house for dinner and a little dominos. I only got lost once but just for a few minutes and on Monday Steve got in and we went and saw the water fall and then the zoo. Then we got stuck in rush hour traffic in Portland at 3:00 PM! Yes! Rush hour starts that early! It was a mess. What should have only taken us 20 minutes took about 1 hour and 45 minutes! When we took the car back to the rental place that night he said that people from LA say it is worst in Portland and I truly belive it! Oh! and I got to have dinner at Baja Fresh! For those of you that dont know the story about Baja Fresh. They opened one by my office a few years ago and I got addicted to it and one day POOF! it was gone! So now whenever we are in a town where there is one we HAVE to go! This time I was so hungry because I had not eaten since breakfast I ate my whole burrito! Even Steve does not usually eat his whole burrito! It was pure heaven!
Anyways, that is how my trip was.

I am off to Portland

Since I get free airfare (I do have to go stayby) I decided since I have a three day weekend I would go to Portland. You see, steve is there all day on Monday. His plane arrives at 9am so I thought I would go up a day early becuase I have an aunt and uncle that live there. Well I found out my Aunt has to work so I am still going to go up by myself, rent a car and go on my own adventure for a day! Where my adventure leads me? I guess I will find out to tommorow. First stop - BURGERVILLE USA! Best hamburgers and onion rings! YUMMY! After that I dont know a little shopping? Maybe a movie? I am so excited for my little adventure. If I dont return Tuesday you will know something happened to me!

I come from a small family

I thought in this post I would write a little about my family...
My family is not big at all. There is just me and my younger brother, Stu.
I also have a step brother Derek who is more like a real brother.
On my dads side of the family I have no cousins. My dad has a sister that never married so my brother and I were the only grandkids. On my mothers side I only have 7 cousins and four of them are at least 10-12 years older than me. So needless to say I really did not grow up with tons of cousins like my husband did. I always get jelous when I go to family get togethers with Steve and see all of the cousins he has and hear about how much fun they all had when they were little. I did not have that. It was always just me and Stu. Maybe that is also why my brother and I are so close.
Its funny - when Stu and Mercedes had thier baby a few weeks ago people could not believe I spent the whole night at the hospital waiting for him to have Peyton. I cant imagine it being any different. We have been thru alot in our lifes and everything we went thru the other was right there. I guess we are just closer than others.
Anyways, Thats all I have to say right now about my family.
PS. I get to go to Portland this weekend! Steve has a long overnight so I am going to go hang out with him and I am hoping I get to see my aunt. I love it up there! I cant wait!

Peyton Clark Talbot

After a long night Friday at the hospital My brother's baby was born at 5:10 Saturday morning.
Peyton Clark Talbot was 5 lbs 11 oz and 19 inches long.
He is so tiny but so dang cute! I could not quit holding him!

Today is the perfect day!
After many, many weekends of snow today is nice and sunny! YEAH!
I was getting so tired of snow that I almost talked Steve into taking me somewhere sunny for the weekend but when I woke up this morning it was nice and sunny!
I really need the sun every once in a while or I go into a deep depression!

Happy New Years Everyone!
Hope everyone had a great holiday!
We spent New Years Eve at Snowbird. We had a WONDERFUL dinner at the Steak Pit! The steak there is amazing! Steve had Salmon because he thought he would probably end up having half of my steak but I am proud to say I at the WHOLE thing! I was so full after that we went home and lounged around until midnight then we were both in bed by 12:08!

Well, we have been back from Disneyland for a week and I am finally getting time to post some of our pics!
We had alot of fun and they really dress the whole place up for the holiday. We went for four days but I can honestly say as much of a Disney freak I am, I was ready to go after the 3rd day. Not to mention, somehow the spaz I am I hurt my foot on the second day and limped around for two more days. I got do do everything I wanted an more. Here are our pics!

So my brother and his fiance, Mercedes, are having a baby in January. It is the first grandchild on my side. We had a baby shower for them on Sunday. It was fun to see them getting cute gifts and to see all of the family. Here are some pics of them and the shower!

Kurt Bestor

Last night we attended the Kurt Bestor Christmas Concert. I am telling everyone that if you want to get into the chrismas spirit you need to go! I loved it and now I am so excited for Christmas! I cant wait!

We leave for Disneyland bright and early Saturday morning! I will post pics as soon as we get back.

I hope everyone has a great holiday and if you can you have to go see Kurt Bestor. He was awesome!

Well we dont have any kids but we do have two cats that are just like our kids

LITTLEFOOT

Littlefoot is our fat cat. He weighs 22 pounds and is a diabetic. Yes we give him two insulin shots a day! We also call him Bubba and a few other names. He only drinks water out of the bathroom sink and he prefers to sleep on his back.

DAISY

We adopted her about two years ago and found out after we adopted her that her birthday is our wedding anniversary. She is the little princess. She sleeps on Mandys pillow at night and drinks water out of the bathroom sink also (we think Littlefoot taught her that bad habit) and if we dont turn the water on she drinks out of the toilet YUCK! She is a lap cat. Give her a lap and she will sleep there all day. We also call her "Mater" (I dont know where that comes from)

So those are our kids for now! We love them and we dont know what we would do without them. One of these days we will have "real" kids.

Can you belive Thanksgiving is in a week and a half? I am not all the excited, Steve has to work so this will be the first Thanksgiving that we will not be together. I am really bummed. So I guess I will probably just go to my family. My brother is working so he wont be thier either so it will be a quiet thanksgiving this year.
So to cheer me up I have included a couple of pictures from last years thanksgiving when we did the big shin dig at our house! It was alot of fun!!

Guess what! We are going to Disneyland in December to see it all decorated for Christmas!! I am so excited! I cant wait to get there! My two favorite things are Christmas and Disneyland! You can see a picture of our Christmas tree from last year -Yes it is all Disney including the stockings and tree skirt I got when we went to Disneyland for Hallowee in 2005.
Have I said how excited I am to go??

SO the season opener of Gray's Anatomy was last night.
What the @&(@&$^*$ ?? I have just a few things to say:
I am so tired of Meridith doing her whining and why is she breaking up with McDreamy! I would give my left arm for him!
And does Christina really have to be so mean?
Anyways that is my two cents.
Oh and what about the deer could they really not get a better storyline with her?
I hope next week is better!

San Francisco!!

MY GRANDPA AND MY DAD

We went to San Francisco last week - We had alot of fun. We went with my Grandfather because he has been wanting to get away and also my dad and stepmom and then my aunt and uncle from Portland came down and met us there. We had a really great time. We went to Alcatraz, rode a double decker bus across the Golden Gate Bridge then around the town and saw thing I had not seen before. The only downfall was that Steve had to leave a day and a half early so I missed him while he was gone.

So Steve had a few days off so we decided to take a VACATION!!!
The next question was .... WHERE TO GO????
We decided to go to San Diego, neither one of us had been there so we
went on our adventure! We had so much fun! We spent one and a half days
at the zoo, another day at Sea World and another day at that wild animal park.
It was so fun at the zoo to see the panda bears and everything else they had.
The wild animal park was fun but it was so HOT that day! We had a complete
blast at Seaword. We saw Shamu, Manatees and Mandy even got to feed and pet a dolphin!
It was so cool!
Now we want to go back soon as see more!

I am a Disney Freak! In February I wanted to go to Disneyland so bad so we planned a trip, but .... the day before we were suppose to leave Steve's company called him into work! I was so bummed. We were suppose to leave on Friday and Steve did not have to be to work until Monday so Steve being the great husband that he is decided we could go for just the weekend! So we left on Friday at 9 PM did Disneyland ALL day on Saturday the flew back out 7am on Sunday and was home by 11. We had so much fun!
